It depends on what you are going to use it for. The higher the megapixels, usually the better the picture, but only if you are going to be printing out 8x10 pictures, etc... I have a small digital canon elph that I absolutely love, and I also have a canon rebel which is more of a professional one where I can swap lenses...
I guess it depends on what you are using it for. If you are just going to use it for internet and pictures to show on the computer or tv screen, I probably wouldnt go with anything less than a 4 megapixel. I like the canon elph because its so small and I can slip it in my pocket and take it anywhere with me!

This website usually has pretty good reviews. I also find comments from people that already own one very useful and usually go to amazon.com for that.
Some come with the option of taking video, some have very fancy options such as digital zoom, color swap, etc. Id get one with standard features like red eye reduction, decent flash, etc..

The only thing I plan to use it for is for the computer. I don't really plan to print anything out. Thanks for the review and the link!

What should I look for when choosing a digital camera? I want a good one but not expensive. I know absolutely nothing about these things. TIA!
